Balkans For Cooperation
and European Development

A nonprofit association dedicated to fostering cooperation around development and student-led projects in the Balkans region.

Background

Founded in Geneva in 2025 by Laura Jashari, B.C.E.D. was created to provide a constructive exchange hub led by professionals on development in the Balkans and its impact across Europe.

The lack of neutral, well-structured dialogue platforms about this complex region inspired the association. We focus on giving young people a voice, offering a space where learning is prioritized over confrontation. Diplomacy and respectful debate are at the heart of every conversation.

Our committee is entirely composed of students committed to imagining the future of the Balkans through the lens of cooperation and development.
